To celebrate the launch of our new cookbook Pizza Napoli, we’re calling in the big guns, collaborating with three Napoli pizza legends who live and breathe pizza the way we do!   

Last up… our September Pizza Champion Ciro Casella! 

Ciro proudly calls himself a Scugnizzo – a term once used for young hustlers dabbling in mischief, now a badge of honour for Napoli’s sharpest street-smart souls. From the age of 17, Ciro threw himself into the world of pizza, learning his craft from the very best pizzaioli in the city. That mix of grit, curiosity and pure instinct defines everything he does – from the dough to the final drizzle of oil. 

His guest pizza? Scugnizzo per Sempre: a slow-cooked tomato and garlic sauce base, provola-smoked mozzarella, crispy pancetta, black pepper & fresh basil. A nod to the streets of Napoli, where smoky flavours and punchy toppings rule. It’s big, bold, and seriously moreish. 

Ciro’s pizzeria Pizza 3.0 is a local legend – and if you ever find yourself wandering through Napoli’s historic centre, pop in. But for now, let the streets of Naples come to you.
